What will I learn in the Registered Scrum Master course?

Do I need previous Scrum experience?
No. This course is designed for all levels of Scrum experience, and there are no prerequisites.
How do I earn the Registered Scrum Master credential?
To be eligible for the RSM exam, you must complete at least 14 hours of live instruction covering all RSM Learning Objectives with a Registered Scrum Trainer™ (RST).
Pass the exam and you’ll earn your Registered Scrum Master™ credential.
What are the benefits of the Registered Scrum Master credential?
Your RSM credential formally recognizes your knowledge of Lean principles, Scrum Master techniques, high-performing team patterns, and how the Scrum Master role scales across an organization.
Credential holders are also authorized to use the Registered Scrum Master badge and are eligible to be listed in the International Registry of Agile Professionals™.
Does this course count toward PMI PDUs?
Yes. This course counts for 16 PMI PDUs and fulfills 16 of the 21 contact hours required for the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification.

What do I need for class?
For live remote courses, you’ll need a computer, reliable internet connection, and access to Zoom with video and audio.
For in-person courses, there’s no formal dress code. Most attendees wear business casual, and jeans are fine. We recommend bringing layers so you can stay comfortable throughout the training.
What if I have to leave for part of the training?
If you’re seeking the RSM credential, you cannot miss more than two hours of the course.
What if I need to transfer to a different date?
Start times vary by course and schedules are listed on each course registration page. Check the specific course you’re interested in for the start time and time zone.

No problem. We can move you to another class or transfer your registration to another person. Contact our training team at education@scruminc.com and we’ll help you make the change.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel at least two weeks before the class start date to receive a full refund. After that, we can move your registration to another date or give you credit toward a future class.
