Scrum Spotlight: Raising Thousands of Dollars for the World Health Organization and Colors of Change

by the Scrum Inc. Team | July 30, 2020 | Blog

Last month, trainers from the Scrum Inc. Education Program came together to support COVID-19 frontline workers and social justice. As a team, they delivered a unique Scrum Master Workshop with all proceeds donated to the World Health Organization and Colors of Change Organization.

Workshop attendees engaged in a dynamic and highly interactive workshop led by a team of ten volunteer co-trainers (Jessica Crowley, Arundhati Dutta, Brian Hackerson, Denise Jarvie, Thoralf J. Klatt, Andrew Lin, Liviu Mesesan, Luiz Quintela, Marc Vandyck, and Lisa Wang). Each of these trainers is passionate about making a difference in these challenging times.

Workshop participants joined from a variety of industries and cultures from around the world, which enhanced learning and allowed everyone to gain a more comprehensive understanding of Scrum and the Scrum Master role in diverse working environments.

Instructors shared their insights, experiences, and strategies from years of success launching high-performing Scrum teams across industries and around the globe. The attendees also had the opportunity to ask Dr. Jeff Sutherland, the co-founder of Scrum, their questions when he made a special guest appearance in the workshop.

Together we can make the world a better place!
